THE ARTIST
Mila is a Franco-Italian contemporary visual artist based in Nice, on the French Riviera. Born in 1968, she graduated from the University of Fine Arts of Strasbourg and is a member of the European Academy of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. Her work is internationally recognized for its strong visionary artistic identity. Mila is the alchemist of matter and color into light.
ARTISTIC LANGUAGE & MATERIALS
Mila approaches creation as a living process, constructing each work fragment by fragment. Working primarily with aluminum, recycled materials, and mixed techniques, often of her own invention, she creates contemporary bas-reliefs, dense and luminous paintings, and sculptural surfaces. Her practice blends technical precision with a poetic and almost mystical sensibility, responding to a contemporary vision of art that is both aesthetic and sustainable.
FORMS, SCALE & INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Beyond painting, Mila’s work extends to sculpture, luminous installations, and artist-designed furniture, as well as collaborations with the worlds of design and fashion. She exhibits regularly at major international contemporary art events and galleries across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. Her work is praised for its ability to reconcile tradition and modernity, strength and softness, while offering strong emotional depth.
COMMITMENT, VISION & CONTINUITY
Mila’s artistic vision combines creation, innovation, and human commitment. Her monumental installations, such as “WAVES OF LIFE” , created for the UN Ocean Conference in Nice, reflect her engagement with ecological and social issues. Constantly exploring new materials and forms, Mila creates a dialogue between past, present, and future, positioning her work at the intersection of art, design, and emotion, with authenticity and enduring relevance.
